We just had a mortgage company on the floor below mine go out of business and they gave away their remaining furniture/supplies. I snatched up a HON Manager's Chair ($450 value). It needs a little work, but I'll get it all fixed up. I saw somebody wheeling away with the side-by-side refrigerator from the breakroom. I tried to get a printer, but I don't think they had many that they hadn't liquidated already.
I heard that they had advertised on Craigslist that they would be giving away their furniture beginning at 10 am, and by God they did!

Posted by Brad/AZ at 8/23/2007 2:15:00 PM | Would anyone happen to have an example of a lease-to-purchase contract that I could view? My In-Laws asked me to write one up for them so it would help a lot if I had something I could refer to for specific language. I found a bunch of websites that charge for it, but I'm uber-cheap right now and would prefer to not pay for it.

A fellow found my name on NotRot and wanted to see how much I would charge to notarize a few forms for a law enforcement application. The beauty is that he wanted me to meet him at his place of business which happened to be the bowling alley around the corner from my house. What a jackpot! 5 minutes of work took care of 2 hours of bowling. Sometimes I love this business, but not as much as I love bowling, so it really worked out great. |

1 The above rates/fees are quoted for 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday except holidays. Add $15.00 if appointment is between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am Monday through Friday. Add $25.00 if appointment is between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday. Holiday rates are two times the standard rate. Rates for appointments other than the preceding are quoted on an individual case basis and subject to Notary availability. Due to tightly scheduled appointments and travel times associated with providing a Mobile Notary service, we must charge $45.00 per hour if we are required to wait for the Signer. Partial hours will be billed in 15 minute increments.

Discounts/Bulk rates are available to firms that have regular, daily, or multiple signing requirements.
Notaries Public are prohibited from engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. Notaries Public and Notary Signing Agents are not permitted to explain documents, provide answers to questions about the documents (especially about legal issues related to the documents), or answer other specific questions related to the loan documents. Only practicing attorneys and individuals trained or certified in a given field may offer advice or answer specific questions.
