Got a call today
Posted by Kathy/ID at 10/29/2007 11:44:00 AM
from Patriot Title - They actually asked what my fee was not what they offered. That is a shock, most of the calls I get say this is what we are willing to pay and I answer yes or no based on their amount and if it is within me fee or not.

Well I told Patriot Title me fee of $xxx.xx and she told me thank you and hung up. I am sticking to me fee as we all need to do this.

Bounced checks
Posted by Kathy/ID at 10/25/2007 9:23:00 PM
I have received a bounced check from Notarize 24/7. Do you think it is right charge a bounced check fee? The reason I ask is that if you bounce a check you get charged a extra fee so why should we not be able to charge one to our customers?

Tell me what you think?

Acknowledgment Stamp
Posted by Kathy/ID at 10/5/2007 11:14:00 AM
Does anyone know where I could get one made? I would like to get one with my state's wording so I do not have to hand write it on the front or back of document. State law says can be on back and only use a loose if last resort.

How do you forgett to put the Hud in the package
Posted by Kathy/ID at 10/4/2007 7:45:00 PM
I have a signing scheduled for tomorrow. I go the docs today o/n, as I was reviewing them I see a sample hud 1 that says this is a sample not Respa compliant. ok, not a problem. So I continue to look through the package, find the note, deed, til, one copy of the RTC (for 2 signers) but never find the hud. I call the loan officer and he make him aware I did not get a hud then he transfers me to the document preparer, and I get voice mail.

Hopefully I will get the hud sometime tomorrow to print and add to the package. How can you forget that document!!!

Adding companies to signing central
Posted by Kathy/ID at 10/1/2007 4:45:00 PM
Are we still having issues with companies being added to signing central? I know people have tried to add them and then get a message that they were there or something like that. Does anyone know if it has been fixed?

It would be good to put the companies people have posted about here, if we could add them.

Just venting
Posted by Kathy/ID at 9/10/2007 5:12:00 PM
I had a background check completed by Lexis Nexis about 2 -3 weeks ago. I have faxed this to Transunion but they will not accept this one they have to do there own. This is their policy!!! is what they tell me. I would think if we had one done then we are serious and I sent it to them so I was not hiding anything. If we had one done why don't they just accept it and move on. It is dated so they know it was a current background check.

Is there one that is more accepted that I should do?

References
Posted by Kathy/ID at 9/4/2007 1:29:00 PM
I have only had 2 closings since I have become a NSA. I have been signing up with different companies and some are asking for references. What is the best way to supply these companies with reference if I have not done much work? I have asked one of the companies for a reference but they do not give them out, is what I was told. What do you suggest?

Respa Signing
Posted by Kathy/ID at 8/31/2007 12:37:00 PM
I am doing a Respa signing later this afternoon and have found some of my answers doing searches. The only one I have not found is this:
Do these doc's get printed on letter or legal?

My confirmation says to return the docs in a letter UPS Envelope but that is all.

Thanks everyone for your help.
