One Problem with Posting on This Forum
Posted by kcg at 9/14/2007 5:32:00 PM
is that too many people skim thru, don't read it correctly and then set out to try and make the poster look like an idiot.

I'm done asking anything on this forum.

Question...
Posted by kcg at 9/14/2007 4:55:00 PM
I did a signing today (FHA) which included 48 pages from title with specific instructions that these pages were to be signed and dated 8.15.07. These included an HUD, FHA app, 1003, etc. I did not have to notarize any so it was not an issue...I've just never seen that before. Now, there was a TIL in that package which had a PPP. The BO was reluctant to sign it but the boyfriend (who was reading the pages with her) said go ahead.

Now, we get to the lender's package and the TIL in that one had NO PPP and there was no Prepayment Rider to the note. I encouraged her to call her LO which she would not do but expressed relief that there was no PPP. I am guessing that since the TIL in the lender's package showed no PPP, this is the one which will override the T/C's package.

I told her I could not give her an answer, that only her LO could but her and the boyfriend seemed satisfied with the Lender's TIL.

Has anyone ever seen a package like this? Where there is a package from title backdated by borrower AND 2 different TIL's?

OT Cell Phones For Soldiers

We just replaced my husband's cell phone and in looking for a good place to donate the old one, I came across this website www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com. You can print out a prepaid label and send your old cell phone in which will help to provide free minutes for our soldiers.

Cost of Recieving and Printing Docs Elsewhere
Posted by kcg at 8/24/2007 6:59:00 AM
During these crazy storms we're having here in the midwest, people are, of course, losing their electricity, etc. Ours went out about 9pm. Anyway, I laid awake for a good part of the night wondering where I would have to go to have docs for 2 siginings today printed out. And what is the cost? Luckily the power came back on this morning but what if.........

The closest Kinko's is 14 miles - another one at 32 miles away. Do you have the docs sent to your mailbox of theirs? What is the average charge per page? Once during a snow storm last year, I had a revised HUD that came in with enough time for me to get home to print out but considering the weather, I didn't want to drive all the way home to get it so I had it sent to and printed out at a UPS store. That cost was close to $5 for 4 pages....so obviously I shall never do that again. I have seen Kinko's being choices for some people on here to print out their docs. So to be ready for the next power outage (which could be this afternoon) , I would like to get some input.

And I truly pray that those of you in the affected flooded areas are doing ok....what a mess in here in the Midwest - we are only dealing with a little water in the basemen and power outages - many are dealing with flooded homes and loss of lives. God bless.

UPDATE FROM ALLIANCE TITLE & SETTLEMENT SERVICES

We are starting to expand at Alliance Title & Settlement Services and want to include you in the process. We have had a chance to work with some of you, and as we expand further, I am sure the others will be getting a called upon.

Something new, E-DOCS CLOSINGS ON LAP TOP OR COMPUTER: We want to make life easier for our customers and help the environment, at the same time. We are going to be starting this new procedure in a couple of weeks. I am not saying all the loans we will be E-DOCS, but we are hoping most will be. I am sure we will have some Customers that will still want a paper trail.

My questions to you;

Do you have an updated Lap Top for your business?

If not are YOU willing to invest in purchasing a Lap Top and what is needed to complete a signing?

And how soon can you be set up to do E-DOC CLOSINGS?

Does your Lap Top have a CD/DVD BURNER in order to make copies for the Client on a CD?

Do you have a mobile printer, just in case copies are requested?

In what if any areas that you cover do you receive bad connection with your cell phone? (This would create problems for wireless service.)

The advantage to the E-DOC CLOSINGS, first of all the most important is, most banks and financial intuitions are changing with time and this is the wave of the future. We want to be on the front part of this wave, why not ride the waves with us. If you are out of the office and you get a call, you will not have to go back to the office to print docs, save money on paper and toner supplies. Also remember most of you trying to catch the UPS before last pick up, now it would be just a click of a mouse, and you can send them on there way. In my opinion this is prefect for the MOBILE CLOSER. Being a mobile closer my self, I am thrilled to have this opportunity to ride the wave!!

OT Fairy Godmother of NSA's....
Posted by kcg at 7/27/2007 11:43:00 AM
June EOM I swear she was sitting on my shoulder - EVERY call met my fee - EVERY set of docs came in HOURS early - EVERY borrower was easily reached and ready to go - even willing to go earlier since I had the docs. I thought I had died and gone to NSA heaven.....I didn't want to post that here because I didn't want to make others cry with jealousy.

BUT she obviously left me because this EOM was back to "normal" - lots of lowball fees, several cancelled, late docs, postponements....you know the drill.

So I'm wondering if she visited one of you this month - did she make someone else's EOM a most wonderful time?

Swiftview and other Doc Services
Posted by kcg at 6/26/2007 7:08:00 PM
Perhaps this has been asked and answered...if so I missed it so sorry if I'm bringing up a worn out subject but....

Is there anyway to speed up printing from these websites? My workhorse HP shoots out 22ppm from PDF but if I have to go to "swift" view it prints....one. page. at. a. time. Turns a 10- 15 minutes print job into 30 minutes or more.

TIA
