Goat ate the documents!
Posted by LindaD/NJ at 1/18/2012 5:25:00 PM
Closing today. Get to the woman's home. A goat greats me at the door (Zeke the goat is outside) She introduces me, I pet him, he goes off to do his goat thing. She then proceeds to show me the half eaten closing pkg. The UPS guy left them on the deck and Zeke found lunch. I called title, told them to send me the pkg. to print and why. She couldn't believe it. She kept saying "a Dog!?" and I kept saying "No, a GOAT!!" It's all good

REALLY need input on a closing I have for tomorrow!
Posted by LindaD/NJ at 1/5/2012 10:10:00 PM
Please Hugh and other Atty's and hopefully Sylvia are on. I have a signing tomorrow, split. I am signing wife and husband is in another state. Called # to confirm. Hubbie says you have to speak with Ernastine the counsellor. SOOOOOO, I ask him politely WHY do I have speak to a counsellor? Is she a counsellor for your wife? "Yes, she is in a rehab (checked it out on line it is for achohol and drug abuse) and she is doing great!" He says. I DON"T like to get involved in this stuff at all. So my question is wouldn't I need a, I don't know a Doctors note, written statement at the very least that she is of sound mind? Not just Ernastine the councellor's word for it? Last one I had like this the wife was not in the sleep apnea clinic she was in the psycho ward. She tried to kill herself. That signing was a no go. And not that I do not have compassion I do. But as we know, no one is covering our backs but ourselves. Thanks!!!!!

Why can't every day be like this!

4 loans in the a.m. will be done by 1pm the latest. 2 in the next town. 2 in my home town. Good $$$ 2 chase and 2 wells. Borrowers seem nice and have done this before just want to sign and go. All getting $$ back or none due. Two of them single borrowers. Probably going to be a blizzard in the morning!

Attempted closing last evening
Posted by LindaD/NJ at 11/4/2011 8:04:00 AM
Had been scheduled for a few days about 1/2 hour away from me. No problems whatsoever with docs, Etc. Mr. Borrower called several times making sure I was coming. Also texted me to come earlier if I wanted to. No issues, have had that before also. As you may know we had a nasty storm out here AGAIN that has downed ALOT of trees and power lines including the poles. Follow his last text on how to get to his house, GPS is saying the same so no problems. Last sentence of his text says "just drive through the barracades on my street". Again no problem, this area that I am going to is very, very woodsy and little one lane stone bridges that flood easily. Sometimes they forget to take down the road closed and detour signs. But of course I am proceeding with caution at this point. I get maybe an 1/8 of a mile past the barracades and it looks like a freekin bomb went off on his block! Not only HUGE trees down but power lines and POLES with the lines draping across the street 2 feet from the car. The poles are 3/4 tilted into the street! Now I do know that they problably do not have power BUT! What about the damn poles that could let loose at any time on my car! I turn around get on the main road call Mr. Borrower tell him N/G need to reschedule when your street is safe OR would you like to meet me on the main road at a diner, my car (done that a few times) etc. No good for him he has children. Call the company that hired me, they call back and she can't believe he never said anything to the condition of his street/area. I also forwarded his directions about "just go through the barracade" she texted me back "unreal". Be safe out there people! Seems nobody gives a rat's a-- about us!!!

Posted by LindaD/NJ at 9/21/2011 2:34:00 PM
Got a call for a reverse it was a Met life. The number came up unknown. This person was going to send me a sign up but has not. The name reminded me of Lenders first choice. Does anyone know of a company that does mostly met life reverses. She may have said Colorado or California? Thanks for your help.

Get a call to resign an unrecordable mortgage from 2003
Posted by LindaD/NJ at 9/17/2011 2:14:00 PM
I was not the original notary. Sounded to me that they had an attorney closed the first one in 2003. I have a few assumptions on why this is being done. Wondering did you ever have a resign that went so far back? AND, what are your thoughts?

It's been pretty hot in NJ!
Posted by LindaD/NJ at 7/30/2011 11:19:00 AM
Had a signing yesterday afternoon. The weather was 90, with 100% humidity. I walk in to the house and I thought the children had just gotten out of the shower, they looked soaking wet with clothes on. What was really going on was the air conditioner was broken AND Mrs. decided to bake a lazagna. Oh, and of course we were closing in the 2 by 4 kitchen right next to the oven! Had to be at least 115 degrees!!! No need to work out yesterday, I got it with that closing! Very nice woman, but honestly don't know what she was thinking. Friday night is always pizza night around here!!! LOL
