Signing done on 10/15/07, payment received yesterday 10/27/07. I was a little skeptical like others, but went with my instinct and they came through.

What a stinky day to have trick or treating
Posted by cassiewi at 10/26/2007 2:44:00 PM
My neighboorhood decides to have trick or treating tonight of all nights. Why oh why if you you're going to move the day from Halloween, do you move it to a Friday night? The city is trick or treating Sunday afternoon, but no we need to be different.

Hardcore Solutions

I just spoke with Lina, who is the owner of the company and she stated that they are trying to take care of some problems they were having. Lily, the lady I spoke with last week no longer works there and Lina stated that they are trying to get their good name back. She asked me to email her the info from my close on 9/14/07 and she said she would get a check sent out today. When I actually receive it, I will update. The number I have is 727-848-6060.

NowClosings.com G/B/U? There have been a few posts
Posted by cassiewi at 10/16/2007 3:18:00 PM
but not much info, most people are asking G/B/U, so I figured I'd see if anyone has had any experience. Also, Sylvia did find a myspace posting when she googled the phone number, I asked Brandon about it and apparently its his roomate being funny on myspace.

OT-Emergency Room Bill....is there anyone I can complain to?
Posted by cassiewi at 10/8/2007 12:02:00 PM
My daughter fell off her bike (her friend ran into her and fell on top of her) in July and hurt her elbow. This was the first time I've ever had to take any of kids to the ER. I normally would have waited until the next day but her elbow just looked funny and my neighbor who is a nurse said I should take her in, to see if her DR could see her first (he couldn't). I get the bill and OMG around $1,000.00. She was there for 55 minutes. They didn't even wash her elbow. They took her for a Xray and it was just swollen, and wrapped it in an ace bandage. She didn't even see a "doctor", she got a physician assistant. To sit in a bed and get something wrapped in an ace bandage costs this much?

$513.00 Hosp Misc
$169.00 Hosp Misc
$ 13.00 Hosp Misc

$43.00 Xray
$258.00 for Physician

Thankfully, my we are covered under my husband's insurance, but we have a $500 deductible per person, $1,000 per family. So we will be paying $500.00 of this. Any suggestions?

Biggest package for me ever
Posted by cassiewi at 9/28/2007 4:07:00 PM
FHA must be picking up, I've never had a package this big. 163 lender docs, 20 pages for appraisal, and 23 junk docs and HUD. A total of 206 pages for one copy. I must have come along after the FHA boom because I was stunned. The TC was great though, they agreed to up my print fee. Irony of that is it cancelled and is going to tomorrow because of late docs.

Need a little help, LO wanted to lie about me
Posted by cassiewi at 8/22/2007 8:46:00 PM
I had a closing scheduled for yest. at 5. Docs were never ready and it didn't go. Rescheduled for today at 5. Docs not ready on time. Said I could do it after my 6:30. I get a call around 6 saying they didn't have clear to close, even though they've sent me docs. They'll call me back. 6:30 and they call saying just so you know the LO doesn't want to tell the borrower that they didn't have clear to close, he wants to tell them that you can't make it because of the rain. I was really offended by this. It makes me look like a flake. What do you guys think? Any advice? Should I tell the borrower the truth or will it make lose a good client?

Update on Madison Credit and FNP Document
Posted by cassiewi at 8/6/2007 4:28:00 PM
Madison Credit paid me for a signing done on 6/22/07. AP previously said that their computer shut down for 2 weeks and they were behind. She said that a check would be sent last week and it arrived today.

I did a signing for FNP on July 14, payment received today. However, it looks like they used a Jan. invoice to pay me for and they had already paid me for that. Plus, it was $75 over the invoice amount. I tried to call and let them know, we'll see. Worse case, I'll cash it and send them the check for $75.00.

No Money Down is no longer an option with most

Interesting stuff. My husband and I bought our first house in Riverside, CA using the 80/20. I can't imagine trying to buy a house there now. We paid $179,000 for it in 2002, 3 bedrooms 2 bath 1600 square feet. We sold it for $312,000 in 2005. Amazing, and I'm glad we got out when we did. It was the only way we would have gotten a house. We made decent income, but we came from nothing and didn't have a big savings.

OT-I just had to school a checkout boy about what is
Posted by cassiewi at 8/2/2007 6:26:00 PM
an appropriate conversation to have in front of customers. This kid was talking to the checkout guy in the next lane about what he and his girlfriend did while watching a movie. Not super specific but enough to make me move my ten year old daughter to the other side of me, trying to give him a clue. After he said, then she climbed on top of me, I had to turn around and say could you please not have that conversation in front of my daughter??? He said Oh. I called the manager when I got home. My goodness!

I had the most interesting signing yesterday.
Posted by cassiewi at 7/13/2007 10:35:00 AM
3 borrowers and two were deaf, the wife of one was translating. They all worked for the School for Deaf Children here. They were very nice, although the signing took longer, it wasn't bad. Plus they told me I did a good job, that some people freeze up. They also said I was starting to sign by the end of the signing. I was really glad I was able to make them comfortable. It was an amazing signing. Just thought I'd share. Smile

Did my first reverse mortgage today..
Posted by cassiewi at 6/27/2007 8:02:00 PM
It wasn't that bad. A little longer, and I did have to go over a few things with the title company, but other than that it was good. The borrowers were very well informed and had no real questions. But they were also only 62. I was also upfront with the hiring company that I had not done one previously.
