A response from VICTORY NOTARY to my past due invoice

In response to my recent postings here and other boards regarding Victory Notary Association, and their non-payment to me of a measly $25.00 signing fee from July 8th, here is the e-mail I received from Ray Lewis of that company. With his permission I am posting it, and my response for you to view.
This says it all about what we are up against in this business :

Daniel,

Post this response on the message boards!
With all the mud you have slinging everywhere, you'll never get paid.
We don't have to pay you a dime for a closing that did not get completed. We pay our Notaries trip fees out of kindness and professionalism.
You sir, will never get another penny from us.

So complain all you want!

-------------------------------------------

Ray,

You can rest assured your e-mail will be posted, along with this response.

I never expected to get paid anyway. The reputation of Victory Notary is well deserved as evidenced by your response to me here. I was not slinging mud, but simply stating facts as to my experiences with a dead beat signing company - YOU!
I wrote your DEAD $25.00 off as a cheap education and have profited ten fold from it ever since.

Apparently you do not have to pay anything to very many notaries from your standpoint. Although, I am sure if I wasted some time and dug through your "contract" I would find that your "trip fee" is an agreed upon item, but since when do you guys abide by your agreement anyway.

Kindness and professionalsim? You folks possess or show neither.

I may have been beaten out of 25 bucks from you, but you will loose 100 fold over by your treatment of me and other notaries.

And complain away I will continue to do my FULL $25.00 bucks worth, as well as full notification to any and all agencies regulating dead beat businesses like yours in your state.

Good job, Ray!

Hi... I read your posting with interest and as such, wrote Ray Lewis an e-mail in response. I signed up with this company several months ago. While they've never used my services, I felt compelled by your posting to write him. The fact that he pays his notaries trip fees out of "kindness and professionalism" really struck a nerve with me. I cover 6 Parishes in Louisiana, and my driving time could exceed and has exceeded one and a half hours, one-way. Taking this into consideration, a signing could take as long as 4 hours, or more.... time that could be alotted for signings closer to home that I may have turned down because of the conflict in my schedule. I'm sure that most notaries do not work for the "kindness or professionalism" of their contracted companies... I know I don't. I do this full-time and if I'm taking out half my day to take a signing, I at least expect to be paid half of my fee, without a hassle. I think posts like yours are beneficial to the notary community in weeding out the undesirables... and I, for one, appreciate your information... Thank you, Ninna

Re: Re: A response from VICTORY NOTARY to my past due invoic

Thanks Ninna,

I realize that I may have gone overboard a bit on all the boards with my info RE: Victory Notary, and still truly believe that as professionals, we should not resort to public whining on message boards when having a problem with a signing agency. However, I also do see a need for a one stop area where notaries can get info on "bad" signing agencies. Many lenders and other companies in the industry see these things. Something like this should be handled privatelty between the parties, which is what I tried to do with Victory.

However, their behavior has been so poor, the I felt compelled to prevent other notaries from suffering a similar fate with them.

I too have been stiffed by Victory> They owe me $ 150.00 and have made numerous attempts( phone calls,e mails, no one ever responds so I will go the next step)

I will forward my complaints and all documented paperwork to the local BBB, the Attorney General's office, and most importantly, on all notary websites.
This way we can warn any other notary who may be contacted by this slime bucket operation and put them out of business and deal only with proffesional companies.

Mike:
I would do what I did, contact the lender/escrow/title company that contracted with Victory. All my signings were for E-Loan/First American Equity. I contacted them yesterday to confirm all my signings closed and they had me fax over all my confirmations/invoices. It sounded like they were going to try and take care of all the notaries that hadn't been paid. It also sounds like they themselves are pursuing legal action against Victory. They also are having a hard time contacting anyone at Victory. So it's not just us guys who are getting the run around. Good luck in your pursuit.

ATTENTION ALL "VICTORY VICTIMS"

I am a So Cal "Victim of Victory" only I have 90 invoices outstanding with them for the entire months of September and October. I contacted the Title Company and they are aware of the situation with Victory. I heard through other Notary Chat that he has a company called "Victory Tanning" and the number rang to his home, but the number was not posted.

Ray Lewis' business moved to Main St. in Tipton, Indiana approx. 2 months ago. He is starting up a mortgage company but no details have been available as yet.

Please keep me posted if you find anything out. Thanks

Re: ATTENTION ALL "VICTORY VICTIMS"

Check with the Secretary of State. If his company was legit, he would have had to file paperwork. They could provide you with contact info. If you happen to get a number, I would highly suggest that you *67 before dialing; that way your number will be blocked.

I have access to the home number for Lewis. I will not post it on a public board though. If you would like to email me at [e-mail address] I will forward it to you. It was posted on another board & may have been changed by now. Reports are Mrs. Lewis was PO's when somebody called.

Also, if they bounced 2 checks, call the prosecuter in their city & press charges. Last I checked, it was still illegal to write bad checks.

Beware of Omni Signing Corp too. The Victory Notary Association website is offline, but they are developing a new identity on a hidden page of their site.
