>>>Attn: San Diego Notaries<<< could be $ for you
I have been asked by a CPA to try and locate a notary in San Diego who would have performed a notarization during the years 2002 and 2003 for the following individual: Vincenza Natoli. They need a copy of the journal entry(ies) and don't know who the notary is. They are specifically looking for a Will but are interested in any journal entry for this person during the 2 years. Please call me (858-565-2346) or send me an email if you have a record of this person in your journal during this time. I will receive a generous finders fee if this comes to fruition and am willing to pay you a portion of that - could be several thousand dollars!

Try to find out if the notary seal has now expired- I'm not sure if California requires Journals to be turned in to the County Clerk at any given time after Notaries Commission Date Expires, or if notary does not renew- this may be a fishing expedition- but your putting out this APB may turn up something for you, LOL.

Good thought... notaries who's commissions have expired are required to submit their journal to the county clerks office within 30 days. However, I don't plan on pouring through expired journals trying to find this information. Too bad it's not all online. I guess I could call the county clerk to see if they microfiche all the pages. I doubt it though. This is truly a fishing expedition, but it's great money if something turns up!

Just remember that in CA, even though the journal is considered a public record, the person requesting the copy of the journal entry must know the name of the parties, month and year of the notarization, and the type of document. Also, the notary may not charge more than .30 cents per page for the copies.

Have you went to the County Recorder's office and looked up the name you are looking for? The public records at the recorders' offices are in alphabetical order - just look under grantor and grantee sections. Maybe it will have the name of a title company to give you a clue of the notary's employer (or former employer). Good Luck!
