I've used this viewer several times. I have an hp laserjet 1300 printer.

I had a printer that didn't have any PCL on it. I called the tech support number for VMP and they emailed me something that allowed me to view and print out the docs. Never had any problems doing it that way, and I haven't had any problems since I got a PCL printer (Brother MFC 8220).
