NNA Staff are you still lurking? I have another question....
When I viewed the state law summaries (from the NNA home page, Signing Agent submenu), it shows the Florida Statutes from 2000 with no updates. The statutes have been updated since then. So, if the NNA is so keen on keeping abreast of the states notary division and laws, and is "chartered" with keeping the notaries informed and up-to-date, why then don't you provide accurate and up-to-date information?
If you aren't keeping the information up-to-date, then stop do a disservice to the notary community, and remove the documents. Better yet, link to the state websites!
Since I know for a fact the NNA information is incorrect for Florida, I can only surmise that it will be incorrect for other states as well. Therefore, ALL information is suspect.

David recently posted: "According to The SOS of Mississippi the NNA is giving out wrong information about Mississippi notary law."
Can you please provide some specifics. I don't doubt the statement, but without some meat and potatoes, it's basicly an empty statement through which lots of water can flow. We need the nitty-gritty facts of exactly what the NNA said and what the SOS said. At least then we can ensure the MS notaries public get the RIGHT information.
