notary closing- notary signing agent

What is the difference? What do you do different for a closing?

Some companies refer to us as closing agents! We are NOT closing agents.
We do not do closings. A closing agent has a lot more responsibility than a notary signing agents (and has to carry a lot more E&O insurance).

(Check out the "closing instructions" in the loan packages!)

Never ever sign as closing agent!
