Got my first call for a loan signing from Allied National.

When I got home today there was a message from them to do a signing this Thursday! Anyone know anything about this co? Thanks!

You better call them, because if they left a message, they more than likly found someone else to do it.

It's a good idea either to have your message give your cell phone number, or to have your answering service patch any unanswered calls directly through to your mobile. Even for veteran signing agents, the signing companies typically have quite limited loyalty: You don't answer right off, they go on to the next name on the list. If you've done business with them for some time, they know you, the signing isn't for several days, and the scheduler is feeling charitable, he may wait 15-30 minutes before calling someone else. For a newbie -- no way.

Word is they used to be Door to Door and are somehow connected to Speedy Closings. Both of which have a poor payment history. Because of that I wouldn't be upset if they found someone else. You should either have your calls forwarded to your cell phone or at least have a message listing the other number so you'll be ready the next time.

I called her back and she found someone else. She even left a message on my cell but I was in between the car and the house when she left the messages and missed them both by 5 minutes or so. From now on I will have my cell phone on me 24/7. Guess I'll learn through mistakes.
