Maryland license requirement

With the new ruling (12/03), "signing agents" are classified as title producers and must obtain a Title Producer License. Requires a 30 hr. course approved by the state ($500), and a test. The license requires a fidelity bond and a surety bond - each @ $100,000. Figure $750 for the surety bond. Talk about exposing yourself. You better dot all the "I"s and cross every "T".
