Florida Notary

Can a Florida Notary sign out of the state of Florida? Or do I have to take another test be be a Notary of my new state that I live in?

Your Florida commission is only valid within the boundaries of the state of Florida. I hate to use you as an example, but as a Notary Public, you must learn your states laws before practicing. This is basic notary law that you should be aware of. Most, if not all states, limit the practice to within state boundaries. LA further limits it within certain parishes. If you move to another state, you must apply for a commission there. And if you move FROM another state to Florida, you must relinquish your commission in the other state, as Florida statutes do not allow for dual commissions.

If you have a copy of the Florida Governor's Manual, look in the Q&A section for this very topic.
