journal recording

i think I am just confusing myself with this so let me ask you guys. When recording in the journal do i use two entries for two different types of certificates, ie. ack or jurat or do i use one entry and differnt lines I'm confused.
Ok I had a signing for one person and I notorized two different doc. One an acknowlegment and the other a jurat. I only got one signature in the journal Is that right. I live in NY and a journal is not required but i want to do this correctly.

You need only one entry for each signer but you have to list the documents notarized (ie. DOT, affidavit, etc.) in that entry. I highly recommend getting a MoJo from the notary shop on this site. You will love it.

I list the acknowledgement and jurat as separate entries and then draw one diagonal line for the two, having the borrower sign one signature across the diagonal line.
