Notary as Witness??

Confused on state requirements and lender requirements. Wisconsin is not a witness state. But lender of a package requires a witness to Note, Mortgage, and Affidavit of Identity. All of these also to be notarized. In my directions from the SS, they state I can be the witness. Does this not fall under the catagory of notarizing my own signature?

My understanding is you are not witnessing your signature, but the borrowersI have many where I have to sign as both the witness, and the Notary (pension papers, docs in a loan package, and others).

You are notarizing the borrowers signature, not the witnesses.
