Not sure if you can buy it anywhere other than Dell. I have the Dell 1700 and have the Toner program and totally love the whole set up.

I think www.tonerrefillkits.com carries it. There is also a "chip" that you are supposed to buy to replace. The good news is you don't need the hole drilling tool. I was looking up the Dell 1700 today considering it for my car. Do you ever have any printing issues with it? VMP? Doc Magic? Elynz? Rakis?

I have the extra tray so I don't have to reload. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't detect to automatically go from legal to letter then back in one document. The software appears that it would, but when you ask tech support, they say it won't. I like it though, I just print everthing on legal unless it is an all letter file. Thanks.
