Does anyone charge extra for last-minute calls?

Got a call for a signing with e-docs, of course, within 3 hours of the call.

Do you charge extra for last-minute calls such as this, or just figure if you have the time open, then it goes with the territory?

No, I don't. If my schedule permits it, it's booked in with all the others.

Never

If I can do the assignment, I consider it a good relationship builder.

For edocs with a one hour last minute I would charge 25 dollars more if it was close otherwise 50 more

No, I don't. If I am able to schedule it without lots of hassle, I'll do the closing. If it would interfere with other appts. because of printing or whatever, then I just don't take the appt.

The only time I charge extra is if it's someone I've never worked with before. My regular customers, I don't charge.

No. If it fits my schedule I accept with usual fee. It would also have to be local or I doubt I would have enough time to print docs and get there on time so I wouldn't accept.

Thank you all for your input ... it's hard to know what is the "right" and appropriate thing to do. The last-minute calls I've gotten have all been from new contacts, but I guess as long as I can accommodate, I will not be charging extra.
