Notaries can now go after signing companies for their fees

Has anyone heard anything about the National Signing Service Association? Their website has a Notary Advocate page where you can process a claim against Signing Service companies for non-payment issues. Based on the hundreds of dollars I’ve had to walk away from over the years, their minimal $15 per year fee is worth it if they can get me paid. You can find them at www.nssassoc.org!

I really shouldn't handle any machinery first thing in the morning! That includes a computer!

Thanks for the site ....

Took a quick look around -- it doesn't look to be a very active forum, so I wonder about the membership numbers and/or success rate.

I don't trust any site that hides the domain information from Whoisit. Anyone know who the principles are in this organization? The site just says they are a group of both Signing Services and Signing Agents. I need to know more before I can make any judgments on whether or not they are just another money making scheme.

I did a google search on the P.O. Box listed on the site and they use the same box as a company called Sign-America.com. Their website is www.sign-america.com. That site doesn't give any info either. WHOIS shows the registrar for that site as TUCOWS Inc. So???? Your guess is as good as any.

I would be cautious of this...

This appears to be a site that is trying to make it as a start-up. The website is not very professional, the forum (bulletin boards) have no activity other than what the originators "started" (my opinion). Why pay $15 for something you can go to small claims court on?

This same post was on GMN Board - see response there by FB/CA - good info.
