Set appt with SS for yesterday, docs were not delivered as..
promised. Waiting for them made me late for my next 2 appts, plus I had turned down a previous appt for the same time frame? Am I doe anything for this inconvenience or is this just a part of doing this business?

It just goes with the territory. The docs very well could have been sent and the delivery company just screwed up, I've had that happen before.
But no, you're not due any additional pay for it.

Unfortunately this is just part of the business. However, it is a huge inconvenience when you are booked back to back like it sounds like you were. I generally try to leave a little extra time in between my signings to hopefully not run late.

Had something similar happen to me the other day. I called the company who hired me to explain that I had to cancel my next appointment and I was told to add on another $50 late fee to the HUD and the signing company would pay me but I had to explain to the borrower that I was adding the extra $50 since I lost out on another signing and he had no problem paying this extra money and the signing company told me to fax over a revised invoice. They were quite nice about it. I didn't get paid what I would have if I had done the 2nd signing, but at least I was compensated with the late fee.

You cancelled another signing because the docs for your first signing were late? That doesn't make any sense. Who ended up doing the second signing? Why didn't you just reschedule the first signing for later in the day? Surely you didn't just leave them high and dry, did you?

and why in the world did the borrower pay an additional $50 for late docs?
