What would you have done with wrong name on QC

I went to a signing tonite, edocs where the current husband was going to sign a QC. The name on the deed was the X husband who had already signed a QC years ago (she showed it to me) and had just passed away.
I called for instructions but it was 9 at night and of course escrow was closed. I had her sign the loan, and will wait to see what escrow wants to do with the QC tomorrow. The more I think about it I am wondering if I should of just crossed the X's name out and put in the correct husbands name.
TIA
Susan

I had one like this. Couple went thru a divorce and Mrs signed a QC, but they never refinanced it to get her off the DOT. Later when he refinanced it, she again had to sign a QC, boy was she rude. I had her sign, then him. Let us know what happens on this.

They are redoing the QC and I am going back out to have the right husband sign off. They were pretty nice about the whole thing. I think someone just saw the 1st husband and didnt look any further when searching. Oh well, everyone makes mistakes.
