I have gotten a few calls today from title co's that their underwriters are requiring $100,000 e & o insurance, 2 yrs experience and 3 references. I have all these but, I was curious if anyone else has come accross this. Is this something that is being required by Ohio or just the underwriters? Any thoughts?

I haven't heard of 100,000 beign required--I have 50,000--all apps have asked for 3 refs--e&o is needed in Ohio but not bonds

This is a recent requirement from Chicago Title/Fidelity National for outside notaries who do not go through their SS, which is BancServe.
