Faxes

Does anyone have a fax machine that has the capabilities of printing/receiving LEGAL size papers?

When buying a fax is it necessary (if even possible) to have this function?

All plain paper fax machines are capable of handling legal size paper. Even most thermal machines (that cut the paper after printing) accept legal size.

You should probably consider using an efax provider such as Maxemail or E-fax. All faxes received by their systems (you have your own number) are emailed to you in TIF format (some will send them to you in PDF format). Besides not spending a lot on paper and supplies for all the incoming faxes, you don't need a second phone line for you fax. An inexpensive outgoing fax machine will be all you need to send any faxes you need to.
