TX Legislature House Committee on Notary Issues

All Texas Notaries.
The Texas House of Representatives Committee on Notary will meet wed Mar 9 1:30 pm to consider bill before the House-identical bills before the TX Senate-that would set educationl
requirements to be commissioned/re-commissioned TX Notary.

The 2nd bill would increase fee for Notary acts.

I encourage any and all who can to attend.

Personally, I support these bills as steps in the right direction. I nly wished these would have been closer to the NNA Model Notary Law and Rules as was adopted by the State of PA. I go so far as to want Notary Signing Agent to have to have a endorsement with the need education.
So I PLEAD/URGE those who see this need to be there to show your support to help move Notaries up in professionalism.

WHY would you want your law to be closer to the Model Notary Act?

The Model Notary Act IS NOT part of Pennsylvania Law; I know I helped write it.

We agree; all notaries should be required to have an education.
