Hi Della
How did you get a call for this kind of work? I've heard different people talking about inspections like this and I was curious.

Be quick and be as inconspicuous as you can. I have a superior zoom lens. It helps.

Ditto what Brenda said, I have also come back at a later time. I know you only have 24hours max to complete the inspection.

Its easy don't worry, they take 5 minutes to do.

Can you recommend a company to contact for this kind of work?

Clear Capitol BPO.. If I get 2-3 a month thats alot and they pay 15-20 bucks each. Limit yourself to a 20 minute roundtrip and its worth it.

There are a few other companies too.

Thank You, this one is well worth going for. They doubled thier fee ,I guess no one else would take it and its farther than I wanted to go. Money talks sometimes.

Are you a licensed realtor? Do you need to be?

You do not need to be a Realtor to do the simple property inspection.

Re: I've bought a book, and am looking into a class

Did you guys go through all that? I am a little, (may I say anal retentive?) when it comes to doing the job only after you've learned what you are supposed to do!

I am looking into taking the class now but may have to travel 250 miles for the 40 hour weekend course.

Any suggestions?
