What are the slowest months of the year ?

I am planning to go on vacation next year and visit my dear family in South America. What are the slowest months or best time to take a time off ? I could'nt say since I started in the business 5 months ago, and I know it varies from states,location,etc. but I am sure your comments will help me to figure this out. From January to March is summer in my birth country. Thanks a lot !!!

I was slow in December and January but kicked into high gear last Feb. What part of Maryland are you in? I'm Baltimore area.
