Hey Poke me with a stick, I deserve it, I took a Split Sign

Hey everyone, poke me with a stick, a sharp one please. I deserve it. I was stupid enough to take a signing which required 28 pages of fax backs and a split return package. One of these days, I might learn my lesson, but that obviously wasn't today, or yesterday when I accepted the last minute signing. Signing "Company" calls and says, we have a signing in your area, edocs, can you handle it. We will pay you XXX. I say, sure, send me a confirmation please. I get the confirmation and to my surprise, about 10 minutes later, I get the documents. I start printing them and try calling the borrower. I leave a message on the borrowers home answering machine and then try the borrowers work. No answer at work, and a message that the business is closed. OK, no problem, 3 hours til the closing. So, I call borrower home again, about an hour later, still no answer, I leave a 2nd message. Finally, about 30 minutes before signing time, I call Borrowers home again, no answer. I call signing company and explain that I've had no luck contacting borrower, they say, we will call you back. Well, at 11 PM, 2 hours after signing appointment time, borrower calls me and says, noone told them loan was to be signed today. I say ok, we will contact lender tomorrow and see if we can sign tomorrow. So, today, I contact signing company and lender and set up signing for this afternoon at 4PM. Both tell me use yesterdays documents, just change date on RTC. Date everything for today. Well, at 4:45 PM, as I am leaving the borrowers home, I get a call from the signing company telling me they have just Emailed NEW DOCS. I said SORRY, I have just had the docs signed and I 'm going to my office to FAX BACK THE REQUIRED 28 pages and prepare the 2 shipping packages. ARRRRRUUGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I just needed to vent. Has this happened to anyone else lately? Thanks! Have a great weekend! Scott

Why complain? You should charge them for a second signing! You did one signings, and due to THEIR mistake, you need to good out their a second time.

I don't know how long you've been doing closings.. but what you went through seems typical for certain companies. Sorry you had to have those problems.

Re: Hey Poke me with a stick, I deserve it, I took a Split S

Something similar happened to me recently. I took the signing, got docs very quickly and in the docs was a form instructing me to fax (what ended up being) 22 pages to company A, then 18 pages to company B, then photocopy 23 pages of the docs (so company B would have copies of certain docs), then split the package and send out to companies A and B. They also required me to call 2 people to comfirm after I faxed, and hold the docs until I got a call back. I looked at it, laughed, and emailed the original hiring company - charged them a $20 excessive processing fee. They paid it, so I think they knew it was a *little* much. These are also the same people that I did a closing on a Friday, and even after me calling them everyday, didn't give me the ok to ship until the following Tuesday at 5pm... too late to ship! "The girl in charge of your order is on vacation"... hello? So nuts sometimes.
