OT-This has been one HE?? of a day-First a breakin

where I work, offices ransacked and damaged.......cameras did get photos of some individuals.
Now I learn today after not getting paid for a signing I completed, the LO contacted me directly one evening desperate as they often are, can you do this last minute signing for me. I had never worked for him before but took a chance, fee was fair and in fact more then fair, printed docs, this was last minute and on a Friday night. Oh and a second trip was requested due to LO forgetting one document........
I have work order request from LO, I also have the fee in e-mail form, with the LO writing I "LO" agree to pay "me notary" x amount of dollars for the signing of "borrower's name" refi loan. Dang I'm glad I get this in writing everytime. This LO was so nice and pleasant, he really was.
Anywho after him not responding to my invoices, I call escrow today, accounting says oh that loan didn't fund, they too were very nice. I said well I'm so sorry but I will be going to court on this one, it's just who I am. They now have a ten day window or papers will be filed.
DD/OR I hope you are reading this, all the more reason to collect up front at table from borrower........However I will be including the cost of taking this to court when I file.....

Sue, sorry to hear you had such a horrible day.
I put our new payment policy to the test today. FASS called and offered me $50.00 to do a signing tomorrow. I said 'no, not for $50.00' but as an experiment, I said 'I will accept $50.00 if BO pays it when I get there. She declined. Our fee would already be on the HUD, so we would be in good shape or would we? I recently did one where the HUD had $50.00 notary fee on it. I didn't even notice it until the BO told me. He asked me if that was my fee and I told him I don't walk out my front door for $50.00. He cancelled because he didn't like the figures. Right now, I'm trying to collect from 3 companys that owe me. I called the Title company of one of them thinking that would help. The guy was a real Butt head. He started arguing with me and kept calling me back to tie up my phone. He did that for about 10 minutes. He finally stopped when I promised not to sue them. The next time I'm calling the police. Our new policy is looking better all the time.
