Our whole city lost power on New Years Eve but thats ok cause we broke out the lantern and
cook stove and had the kind bbq! It has been raining for three straight days. Hopefully will be sunny tomorrow!

I was stranded in my house on the Russian River from Friday afternoon until this afternoon (Monday). Had the river on all sides of us.

My beautiful 50 foot tall Eucalyptus started to fall on my house. : (
Luckily we got it shored up before it fell, but had to call an emergency service to come cut it down....gonna miss that tree.

I live near a major dam in northern CA and fortunately, above it. It was releasing from it's normal 15000 gals per second to 75000. Downtown was beginning to worry as the entire town has flooded in past years during heavy rains. The wind gusts were so strong that our large pine in the front yard had us very worried, as it stands near the only road in or out of our area. We have been fortunate, and wish others well in all this.
