What a way to start the new year

I was contact on Friday the 30th for an email closing this afternoon at 1 p.m. In another county 30 miles from me. (should have left at 12:30 but, I couldn't leave here until 1p.m., because (you guest it) the documents were not received until then.

Got to the closing 45 minutes after the scheduled time, but the brw's knew that I was running late so they were okay with it. Since there were no fax backs, I stopped at the FedEx place on the way home, called the company that hired me and let them know that the loan closed and gave them the tracking number.

After I got home, (45 minutes later) I checked my email and low and behold more documents were emailed to me at 2p.m. ERRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Called the company, told them what happened and what docs were emailed. She said it wasn't my fault and she would let me know what they were going to do.

I sure hope that this isn't a sign of what 2006 is going to be.

I've had this happen too, and thankfully, like you, the company has never held me responsible when the extra docs have arrived after the appointment time.

My wish for 2006 is to have only TC's calling to schedule me, with all of them promising a fee that I feel I am worth. They would all call and book me days ahead of time instead of the day of the closing, and edocs would arrive in the morning on the day of the appointment, or better yet, the day before. I would only be working between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday through Thursday. A check for my services would arrive in my mailbox in the following week!

I can dream, can't I?
