I finally asked to be removed from the NREIS data base

Was offered 90.00 for a edoc assignment with a 60 mile round trip. Told the girl I was not interested in that. She sayst they can no longer negotiate fees and since I am not willing to accept the job, then they will remove me from those who are able to recieve e-docs. I suggested to her to not stop there and go ahead and remove me completely. They used to be a decent company to work with. But the last time I worked for them, they continued to skip payments and string me out longer and longer. Sorry they have changed their MO in regards to paying timely and paying a decent fee. Nothing personal, just business:-)

Exactly - it IS just "business."

It's NOT just "break-even" or just "charity/non-profit."

The profit is the key to having a real "business."

Are people still experiencing slow payments with them? I did one for them last month only a couple of streets from where I live. They met my fee.

Just to get this straight, Lulu, you are saying that you have not had a bad experience?

30 days does not seem like a long time to me. 45 days - 60 days - 90 days is ridiculous.

Their pay schedule is on the 1st and the 15th of every month

Even if you are out only 30 days, they are not complying with their own published pay schedule. I am out nothing because I chose not to take a pay cut and have no outstanding invoices. But even before the paycut, they were becoming a 45 to 60 day account despite their payment policy. I am wondering what you met fee is????? Is it over 90.00 for a e-doc assignment???? Just curious

I'm not sure what you are getting at. I looked up in my Quickbooks and the date of signing to date of ck posted is 30 days give or take a few. Bad experiences, if you are referring specifically to NREIS? Can't remember any.

Lulu - I wasn't getting at anything. I was saying that 30 days did not sound too bad to me. I like getting paid quicker of course, but compared to the current landscape, 30 days is not horrible. Your post said "Me too."

So I was just trying to figure out if "me too bad" or "me too good." I have heard a recent story from a LT poster who has been working for them for years and had a strange problem of getting a check for $0.00.

LOL. Sorry me too (good). Ya know, as I look, it's weird for the reputation they have that they paid in 30 days, isn't it? I usually don't have to make too many collection calls to companies but when they hit the 31-60 day bucket I start calling asking if my invoice is in their system. I make maybe 2 of those calls a month and the check seems to come soon after. LOL, maybe it was the phone call that did it and it wasn't headed out otherwise.

As for Dogmongers question, I've only done work for them a bit this year. 2 were mods and one refi. They met my fee which was a little over half of my refi fee. Both mods were sent to borrower, I just had to show up, do one notarization, drop it in the envelope and drop off. The refi I did was done at my office and they met my out and about fee. My fee is in the upper end for my area. The rates some of these companies are quoting, that have been discussed here are well below half of my fee.

Let me say first that I am glad you are getting paid

But their are manny who are not. Especially on those 45.00 Countrywide Modifications to Helocs. And I am just curious are you getting paid more than 90.00 for E-docs???? I was told in no uncertain terms that this is their new fee schedule and there is no negotiations. Are you getting more than the standard fee on any day other than EOM. Curious minds would like to know?

PS... This is not the first time they have gotten behind:-)

Re: Let me say first that I am glad you are getting paid

With all the info I'm hearing about them, I will be watchful that is for sure.
I looked, the signing was on April 10, 2006. Not end of month and yes I got paid more than 90 for edocs.

Re: Let me say first that I am glad you are getting paid

I got a call from them approx. 2 weeks ago for an e-doc refi, 104 miles 1-way from my location. I stated my fees for this assignment and they WOULD NOT negotiate above $90 dollars. There is no way in hell I'm going to travel 208 miles rt for $90 bucks, I don't care how the docs are sent.
