Therefore if you service Sudbury, MA area, please drop me an email at: [e-mail address] and tell me if you are available to take it.

Thanks!!!

P.S.: Yeah I know this is a long shot because not to many Massachusetts Notaries post on here. I did do a search and the four people I called were no longer mobile notaries. TIA :-)

Could you? I'll fly to you when you need me!! LOL

Tina and Brian aren't from my area as far as I know.

Ever since the EO (Executive Order) took effect, it's hard to find a mobile notary.... Especially ones that know what a deposition is! NaNa

Korey,

I don't understand. These depositions were scheduled for 3 years ago. 2003. Huh?

Must be a typo on the requestor's part....

Everything you are reading (except for my message) was copied from the email. More than likely the guy messed up and put 2003 instead of 2006. I'm not really sure, I only provide the service or find someone in that area.

You have to admit that three identical typos is strange. Things that make you go HMMMMM.

Re: Must be a typo on the requestor's part....

Yeah I know. I'm surprised I didn't catch that myself. The guy probably needs the "notice of deposition" drawn up by the notary (rules of court tell the notary exactly how to do that... not UPL... court allowed). It was most likely an example of what he needs.

I'm hoping someone here from MA will take it. I haven't called any of my contacts yet. I figure I'd give the forum a shot first, and on Monday will make a few calls.

You know what's sad? I called four notaries listed on here and none of them are mobile notaries.... what's that about Frown

Re: whitesatin -I can't seem to produce a post or e-mail

LOL Sue! I tend to catch typos due to the fact that I proofread technical sales proposals for many years. That's not to say I don't also make more than my share of typos. I guess that just makes us fallible humans.

Re: Must be a typo on the requestor's part....

I bet you are right about the typo. They probably found a boilerplate and did a cut and paste.

I get queries to go give oaths at depos.

I'd be curious how much one would charge for this. I have never been available on the date it has been requested of me.

Fee for depositions --- (my fee)

I would charge $150.00 for my time, travel, and notarial act. This is my standard fee and I've done only four depositions. Usually law offices have notaries available, which is why I've only done four depositions.

Re: Fee for depositions --- (my fee)

Thanks Korey - That's helpful. I think it requires a lot of back and forth or sitting through the day.

I would have said about that much.

I think it is weird when they need us to go do that.

I agree - it's like, doesn't that office have a notary to go administer the oath?

Re: Fee for depositions --- (my fee)

In California they rarely, if ever, use just a notary for a deposition. They will use a certified court reporter so they have a transcript of the depo. This sounds very fishy to me, why would a person be pro se on a Federal descrimination case?
This just sets of too many alarms for my taste.

A "normal" Notary might be requested because

it sounds like the deposition is being 'caught on tape'.

I'm not sure why he is pro se on a Federal discrimination case. Maybe he is really smart and well versed in the legal arena. I'm not sure. For all I know he could have an air-tight case.

Tina_MA called him and I am awaiting her update. So I really don't know what is happening or what exactly it is being requested (besides the deposition part NaNa )

Just a thought Korey...maybe you should call Mr. Li to verify the date. Couldn't hurt.
