I need someone to build a Website for me, any suggestons?

Since I am a certified techno-dinosaur (from the early pre-techscene era) I have to hire someone to physically do it for me. However, I want to make sure they help me with all the keywords, meta tags etc so that it comes up on search engines. Anyone know a good, albeit reasonable source? I even took a class in Website building and still can't do it myself, so places that offer templates and such aren't going to work. Any help greatly appreciated! AND BOY IS THE PHONE QUIET! Yikes!

try www.godaddy.com

I know you said that templates aren't necessarily your bag but they claim to have really easy software. It's free if you take other services they have. I'm a customer for my domain and email and I am considering trying out the web site builder.

Couldn't hurt to give them a look-see or call ....

My phone's been quiet last couple of days, too. Makes me wonder if I should pay the bill or not!

If you mean the phone bill, I think you should.

HTML programming can be quite hard. But if you use an editor such as WYSIWYG I am pretty sure you'd be able to figure it out.

I took HTML in high school, yet, I can't master it. As I was editing my pages I learned quite a bit.

If you need a template that pretty much does your website for you.... I suggest you use: http://www.notarywebsites.com .

Take a look at my website (view my profile to do so). I built that one in about an hour, and it was free of charge! I am by no stretch of the imagination computer savvy, but the directions were quite simple. If you absolutely cannot figure it out, don't worry. Just send me some basic info about yourself and some links you would like added, and I'll build it for you, all you would have to do afterwards is add/edit anything you like or that needs to be updated. Contact me at my email listed on profile. Good luck!

My hoster/domain (for lack of a better term) is completely free also. The only downfall is that I have a .cc instead of a .com extension. Other then that, I find it to be very good!!! Smile

If you want more information about this free service, feel free to email me and I'll direct you to the person responsible for setting up free accounts. Since you're a small business you should already qualify!! Once you get your account set-up, I'll be able to help you more then.

FYI for Korey ...

>>> My hoster/domain (for lack of a better term) <<<

The term you are looking for is a webhosting service or simply your "webhost". The entity that you register a domain with is called a domain manager. Often, your webhost also acts as your domain manager either by being a true domain registrar or simply an agent for the registrar. There are many, many domain registrars, more domain managers and lots more webhosting services than one can even imagine. For example, this is a list of the InterNIC accredited registrars. As you can see, the list is fairly extensive. I don't know if there is even a compiled list of domain managers and webhosts.

That was very interesting... thanks Paw Smile

I knew I was on the right track. I knew it was something 'host' Smile Thanks again! You're a wealth of knowledge! I swear you must sleep with encyclopedia's, dictionaries, notary law books, etc. Smile

I've Been Super Happy with NotaryWebsites.com

Cassie and I finally got our photos back yesterday afternoon and our webmaster, Scott, had them up first thing this morning! Great guy - great customer service, reasonable prices that are all-inclusive for the entire first year: Hosting, changes, set=up, etc.

I DO like GoDaddy to chose your web domain name. Take a look at my site or feel free to contact me or Cassandra directly if you have any questions.

www.notaryclasses.com is also building websites; go to the homepage and scroll down to the bottom and you will see some examples.

Thanks Charles! I'm the old broad on the left and..

Cassie is the hottie on the right. She's actually even more gorgeous in person -- a true auburn. It was a fun day, worth every penny -- no regrets. Wish I would have done it 25 years ago when I was a hottie too! Or at least my first husband thought I was (guess everyone gets better lookin' at closin time! ) haha
