What percentage of your business is edocs?

Today I had a package delivered to my door and this happens so seldom that I didn't know the FedEx guy and I use to know the regular driver and all the subs.

I think approx 95% of my business is edocs. It is just me or the particular companies I work with?

Yes, I do have about 95% edocs too and prefer it that way. There are a couple of co's I work with that only do overnight docs. I have the most problems with California Overnight. They are always late and delivered by some guy in a ratty van. May not be a good company to use for sending docs to AZ.

Hi Joan,

I agree with you on the 95%. I can't think of one company I've provided services to that didn't send edocs. I know a few haven't, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Actually, about 35% of my business is loan signings - the majority of my business is from local businesses, attorneys, and the general public (make more $ for less time). But from my loan signing business it is almost always e-docs. I like overnight docs because then I don't have the hassel of waiting till the 11th hour or beyond for the e-docs, but there are several ss's that are good about getting the docs to me in a timely manner.

Only about 10%, but...

That 10% gives me more headaches than the other 90% combined. I can do so many more appointments per day with overnight docs. It's so much more profitable to avoid the companies that do mostly e-docs. I can do 7 or 8 appointments a day when they're all overnight docs, but maybe only three if I'm handling e-docs. There are less mistakes, less surprises, and less disruptions to your schedule. This job becomes much less stressful.

Re: I have about an 80/20 split.

I do a great deal of business with one TC that's mostly edocs and have no problems or headaches. They pay well and quickly. I also have another TC that I deal with that does mostly 0/N docs and there have been a few headaches and problems with the packages. Forgotten sheets, the borrower got the docs and scattered them, etc. So I guess it's really a matter of the day/appt. for me.

Wow, Julie, either you're really obsessive or you don't close a lot of loans.
