Does anyone here still do work for NASCO?

These guys are crazy. They added a new step to printing the Citibank loans. Print 2 extra copies of DOT, and have them signed. I called, and was told it was a Citibank requirement. Hmmm, I think not, as I do Citibanks for other companies, and this is not the case. I told NASCO, for their crummy fees, there was no way I was going to comply with this ridiculous request.
Anyone else have an oppinion?

An opinion????

JinCA, you're not the first or the last that post something and then asks if anyone else has an opinion on the matter. My question is: Do you have an opinion?

Get a back bone. If you don't like NASCOs fees and/or business practices state it, don't accept signings, and stand up for what you believe is correct. Don't ask for someone else's opinion to be swayed by it.

I saw a crystal clear connection between Brenda's response and what you were asking. You asked for an opinion, Brenda shared with you her opinion about all the low paying, fax back every document because we think you're incompetent signing services that are out there.

There! That's my opinion about asking someone for an opinion and then not being happy with the response you received.

Re: An opinion????

Progressive Title also requires the 2 extra DOT copies, Citibanks I do for FASS don't. Not a big deal to me either way.

Do not take this as being critical
Many Citibank Helocs that require 3 mtgs be signed
It adds about three mouse clicks to printing 10-12
extra pages and about 2 minutes to the signing
If you notice , many folks are complaining that
there are cob webs growing on there phones lately
If anying, it will get worse before it gets better
Within reason, I , personally would prefer sitting
on a fatter wallet to standing on a small principle.

Yep, some lenders do require this.

I'm so sick of TCs asking for more and more and paying less. I haven't done a Nasco in a long time because of reduced fees.

My standard answer to Nreis now is:
"Yes, I will do your signing for that fee. But the borrowers must come to me."

I can't believe it when I read posts from newbies who are just starting their NSA careers. Doesn't anyone do market research before they start work in a new field any longer?

Ummm, I don't know why some of you are so nasty about this. I have been doing this for 5 years. I am not a newbie. I do tons of Citibanks, as well as other loans. My asking for an opinion was not about whether I should do it or not. If you read my original post you would see that. I was wondering if anyone else agreed that if NASCO is the only one asking for this extra step, how can it be a Citibank requirement?
Jeez!

I don't work with NASCO, however, I do ALOT of C'Wide refi's and each branch has it's own requirements. For example, CW/FS requires the brw initail each non-signed page. Other CW branches do not. I am not sure WHY each branch would be different, but they are.
Maybe it is the same with Citbank branches.....

Re: JinCA

I also do a fair amount of Citibanks for NASCO and I don't get the big deal about printing an extra DOT. It's six pages. And they still pay very well for a heloc.

"And they still pay very well for a heloc."

Amen to that. Yeah, I now get $92 for what I was getting $110 for last year, but the signings take 15 - 20 minutes and I receive checks from NASCO on a weekly basis.

If their fees are crummy for the amount of work that's involved, then I guess I'll take all the crummy business I can get because it is EASY MONEY baby!

I never said you were a newbie

My post was only to let you know that many lenders ask for multiple signed and notarized DOTs so you can know this when you quote your fee for "a simple refi." I've done up to 3 DOTs for one loan.

Your post reminded me what a pain Nasco, Nreis and other TCs have become. They used to treat us well. I was just commenting on that.

My newbie comment was directed at newbies, not you. More than just you reads the posts on this board, regardless of who posts the question.

Lighten up.
