question about incorrect spelling of name on loan docs

If the name was spelled incorrect I know you call the company ask how to proceed and have the client sign their name as it is on their i.d. but what if you need to notarize that document? ex: Norman is the name but the lending co spelled it Noman and I have to notarize it. What do I do?

You're verifying the identity of the individual and witnessing his/her signature. You're not verifying any misspelling of a name on the document.

You can notarize as long as he/she is signing with the correct spelling.
