Has anyone re emails from co.'s re: NNA background chk req.?

I was wondering if anyone has received any requests from any of the companies named by the NNA that they are allegedly saying are requiring their services only? Does that sound confusing? Okay . . let me try this again, "has ANYONE received a request from any company regarding this new background check?"

Secondly, maybe if enough of us complain to these companies that it is not fair for us to only have the option of going through the NNA . . especially if we have been doing signings for them (or in this business) for years. This is just NOT fair nor RIGHT! I don't need or want NNA certification!

Susan, this topic has been discussed all last week ad nauseum.
No, I have not heard from any of my companies about it.

I realize this subject has been discussed adnauseam, however, I haven't read anything about anyone actually receiving this request from any of these companies. I work for many of the "named" companies on the "NNA list," however, I have NOT received a request as of yet for this background check. I will, however, do a search to see if this particular subject has already been addressed . .

TIA

Fiserv does not REQUIRE NNA checks

They can and will do their own, if necessary. From their website and information that I have:

"We will accept a CBC through either our own internal CBC program or through the CBC program offered by the National Notary Association (NNA). We do not require Closing Affiliate/Vendors to be members of the NNA to be part of our network. "

No

I would not be in a hurry to do this... don't jump the gun as it may never go off. Plus, if it does, there very well could be more options than the expensive NNA. Like right here at Notary Rotary, for example.

Susan I'm totally with Lee on this, ride it out, wait and see, perhaps panic when a company request this of you until then continue on.....Do not stress about something that has not yet occured........

Months ago I got something directly from Stewart

regarding the issue and if memory serves me it said they would only use SA's that they had a BC on. Since I don't do a whole lot for them I didn't bother filling it out and returning it. I think it had a $35 charge but can't remember and I paid so little attention to it.
