OT - a nice change of pace

It was just one of those great days today - a nice break while making $$$.
A local radio station was having a contest at the Extreme: Sand Sculpting Championships at Mission Beach. Entrants dropped their names in a box for a chance to win $1000. and an opportunity to blow-up one of the sculptures. A marketing company contacted me to be there to notarize an affidavit of release for the winner.

I had a double loan signing this morning, a memorial service early afternoon, and then this mid-afternoon. What a nice way to end the day!

Would you believe the 1st name called didn't have ID, the 2nd name called had her ID in her car but it was parked too far away and there was a time limit, the 3rd name called came running up waving her ID Smile

This is the description of the event:

"Sand Blasters: The Extreme Sand-Sculpting Championships" promises "eight of the world's greatest sand-sculpting teams" competing for cash. Teams carve in Pacific Beach (between Reed and Thomas Streets) on Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., but every few hours one of the sculptures will be "blown to bits by an expert Hollywood pyrotechnics team." Free for spectators
