Bounced Check from Land America

Has anyone rcvd. a bounced chk. from Land America? I rcvd. a bad chk. from them on a closing in June, right around the time of a mgmt. chg. I knew that their revenue is down and they're reducing their fees DRASTICALLY, but a returned chk.

No, but I just deposited one. Wait and see. Wow, that is a shocker. They claim to be one of the best companies to work for in their state. Instead of reducing fees they should be laying off instead

wow... i have a check from them and waiting on a few more... they always meet my fee and pay well and in a timely manner... one set of checks they sent to the wrong address and they fed exed on to me immediately.....

I was a Controller for several years and you don't send checks out unless you have cleared cash in your account.

Unless this is a mistake, or another company, this shows serious problems. Could be the next Bridgespan Title.

Do not redeposit the check. Tell them to send you a replacement check within a week. Refer the bounced check to your local police department.

Well, folks, they sure do have a great big, shiney new office building and they bought out NASCO. So, that must be where all their money is going.
