Anyone heard of Group 9? I got a call asking

to notarize 5-6 pages on loan docs. Apparently this is one of those companies that handles the closing over the phone and needs someone to notarize AFTER the docs have been gone over and all signed except for the ones that need to be notarized.

He already had the appointment scheduled with someone else by the time I could get back to him but I quoted him a travel fee plus 5 notarizations.

Has anyone worked with this company or done any of this type before? I thought I read something like this a while back.

Never heard of Group 9, but have done this type of work B4

We were discussing this a week or so back. In my instance, it was the borrowers who called me to come over immediately following their telephone conference signing. All docs had been executed except the ones needing notarization, which was my part.

I charged as you say you quoted--a travel fee plus the notary fees. Not bad for less than an hour's work. It would be even nicer if we could charge more than $2 a signature in MO.
