well...since I'm not Baptist...I'll defer to my spousal unit who advises me that it is Lemonade...since...as a rule, Baptists are tea-totalers...

Thank you so much everyone. Yes, they did it. They are hitched up!
Doc, my package was not here as of the last day I checked my mail, but I feel certain they got here in the last few. It's a fur piece over to the mail stop and so much has been happening. I just emptied out my house...will go get some movies without WEDDINGS in them and then I will snooze 'til time for work tomorrow.
Oh yeah, I did go out awhile after the wedding with my son's friends from high school--it was so good to see all of them and they assured me we'd have a good time. My niece would not go without me (she's 30) and so I let her pretend to twist my arm.
First thing they did at the bar is order a shot of something. So, I drank it. Another round was ordered and I drank that. I think they called them Girl Scout Cookies. An hour later I still felt sober as a judge but tired. I had a really nice time , but finally called a cab at 1:30 am as my feet were killing me. To myself I thought there's nothing in those drinks at all. Got in the cab and was telling the guy something about where to turn and all of a sudden I could not even remember what the next word was supposed to be.
Luckily, we almost at my house about that time. The groom's mother got home without anyone knowing a thing. I poured myself into bed and slept like a baby. First good sleep I have had in weeks. I am ready for a few more winks...sans the shots.

So now you gotta start bein' a Mother-in-law...
If you're not sure how to do that job you can get re-runs of The Jeffersons from Netflix...that oughta be enough study material to get ya started.

Re: So now you gotta start bein' a Mother-in-law...
Gary - Actually, I will study those to learn a little bit from The Jefferns (as my son used to call them...he loved that show.)
However, last night I went to bed feeling as if I have somehow been liberated into a new life...one that probably doesn't exist but where I perceive myself to have a great deal more freedom. Isn't that odd?
Good mothers-in-law who are single/widowed need to make dang sure for the kid's sake that they don't pretend to sit alone in the dark feeling sorry for themselves. Heck no. It's time to make plans for my life now moreso than ever before. I am being optimistic that it's "my" time now. All those hundred dollar bills dealt out like playing cards for this expense and that one on the groom's part wedding are now going to be channeled toward salons, pedicures and decorating my own life. Oh please let me have this fantasy for a day or two! LOL
