Anyone looking for a check for a signing they did on 4-3-07?
I received a check in the mail this week, I attempted to notify the ss and have not yet gotten a response from them. I'd love to know who this check belongs to. I did check with my loca area notaries and no luck yet. Perhaps the ss is on vacation, not sure why they have not responded.
It would be overnight docs if you did this signing and the client's first name begins with an E and the last name begins with an F. Perhaps fellow notaries might check your journal for a signing you did on 4-3-07.
Thanks

Why don't you just return the check, it may not be anybody who reads this board.

Two things I was waiting to hear from the ss and the other, if it was a notary on the mountain, nstead of the notary having to wait for a new check to be cut, or the ss having to pay a fee to place a stop payment on it, whoever the check belongs to that notary and myself could run to the bank, I could cash the check give her or him the cash, get a receipt and send it onto the ss, just trying to save a few steps, but come Monday I will pop it in the mail.

Kudos to you for making the effort, Susan. I've had two different times I can think of where I waited months to get paid because the client said they paid the wrong notary. Wait... I just remembered another one! ;>
