How about this? The notary cert that was notarized by 1st
notary is on a page by itself, page 15 of 15. Couldnt I just remove that page, add my own loose ack and number it page 15 of 15? Wouldnt that solve the problem of confusion and at the same time, remove any reference to notary #1? Bear in mind, the first notary did not have BRW sign on the sig page (page 14 of 15). I did. I supposed I should talk to the TC about handling it this way (removing their page), but would guys agree that this may be a good "fix"?

That seems like a logical fix to me. In effect the other notary sent a notarized, loose ack which could be attached to anything. Not a smart thing to do. All you need to do is your normal notarization and everyone will be happy and you collect your hard earned bucks!

Are you doing a split signing? If not, why are you the second notary?

Not a split signing. 1st notary failed to get some docs sign
not sure why she isnt going back out. I assume that either she wasnt available when they needed her or maybe they didnt trust her to get it right the second time.

Re: How about this? The notary cert that was notarized by 1s
That's how I have done it before and the DOT recorded just fine. The different date from the note and the date I actually notarized the signatures did not hinder the loan funding as some have suggested. It does depend on the lender, I suppose. On your loose acknowledgment, be sure to write down the description of the document on the acknowledgment along with the loan number so the loose acknowledgment cannot be used with anything else .
The SS that hired you to fix this didn't ask you to back date, did they?. If they did, decline the job.

No backdating and just to be sure we were on the same page,
I said "of course I will be dating my notary certificate the date I notarize the borrower signing before me", TC said "of course"!
