OT It was 40 years ago today. -- Sgt Pepper's Band....
Began to Play. Where have the years gone.?? A moment of silence for George and John. Yes, we still love you and need you, Paul, now that your 64 And as to the Rodney Dangerfield of the group, Ringo, they were playing small clubs in Liverpool and going nowhere fast prior to him joining the band. Saw the Love show at the Mirage in LasVegas with my family last fall. Highly recommend it if you have the chance. They changed the whole face of music, and, to a large extent, defined a generation. Have a great weekend, all

Sgt Pepper's lonely hearts club band, we hope you have enjoyed the show.....got the album. Remember phonographs? I could use one, for some reason I have a full box of great vinyl that I'd love to play including Iron Butterfly's In-a-godda da vida mommma!

Charm.. You can get a turntable from
Costco on line. I did! Love it! It connects to your comp via USB connection. Then the program will even take the scratchy sounds out if you want. I sorta like em myself. I have put a lot of my vinyls into my comp.

Guess it is time to dust off my copy of The Quarry Men - John, Paul, George and Stu recorded April 1960. Quarry Men was formed 4 years before this as a skiffle group. Was a bigger group until 1959 when it dwindled down to just John, Paul, George and Stu. A month after this recording (which was a rehearsal demo taped by Paul's brother Mike at their home) they changed their name to The Silver Beatles. Who knew they would become famous as The Beatles.

My favorite Beatles album. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they had appeared at Woodstock...three days of rain and mud...but the music was great.
