Morgan Stanley - Extra Acks, tell me no one is doing this

I won't mention the title company as I like them a lot and of course like the business, but are any of you seeing these extra acknowledgements that are now in MSDW loans? They're requiring that we fill them out. They want them in case we mess up so they have a backup ack. When I told them last week that I can NOT fill out extra loose acknowledgements attached to nothing, they seemed genuinely surprised. Like I was the first person ever to say that this isn't legal. I received two packages today, and not only are they there again, it is actually part of their directions and checklist for us to sign. Is anyone actually doing this? It sure sounds like people are doing it no questions asked.

I have seen them in various packages and I just remove them.

I too refuse to sign an un-attached Ack. I want to keep my commission and will not risk it by doing illegal acts.

Sounds like my 5-year-old -- but everyone else does or

gets to or whatever. However, when I offer to ask everyone else's mothers if they are allowed, the story changes. Tell them you'll have to ask your mother (the SOS) & see what she says...LOL

Someone on this board suggested...

That when asked to do an illegal act ask the requesting company to put the request on their letterhead and you will submit it to the SOS. I have done it several times. I love how it makes them stammer. lol!

I just put a sticky note on the ack's saying i do not notarize loose ack's and have never had a problem.
