Question about a Brother 8220

I just bought a Brother 8220 and for some reason, the paper tray doesn't allow legal size paper. Am I doing something wrong? (I have ordered a second tray) Any help would be appreciated.

Mine has a blue "stop" towards the back of the tray. Pinch that and slide back. You will have to take the tray all the way out.
