Spiders, Bull snakes and affectionate dogs

Spiders marching out onto the minimally cleared counter space. One of two cleared spaces in the whole house, the other was the chair in front of the TV. The owner was afraid of spiders.

The bull snake was either stunned or dead. It was at least 5 ft long! I arrived just after the adrenaline filled borrower had mistaken the strategically draped critter for the leather pull strap for his shed. His dog liked me though. Laid his head in my lap the whole signing. Looked like I wet myself when I stood up.

All in a night's work....

While keeping one eye on the toddler cawling across the table from his dad's lap who was drinking a beer towards his mother who had a glass of wine next to her as she was signing docs, thier little terrier snuck behind me and knarled on my new and expensive leather briefcase. When I reached for my thumb pad, I noticed that he had pulled that out of my case and knarled on it too. This was on a Friday night at 10:30 and I had to drag out the local LO to appease the customer on loan fees.

I needed some leather to chew on!
