Witnessing a Quit Claim Deed

Hello All, Do any of you Pennsylvania notaries sign as a witness on a quit claim deed in addition to notarizing it? Is this even legal? I was told not to sign as a witness unless the lender specifically requests it. Thanks.

I do not sign as a witness, only as the notary. As far as I know in PA a witness is not needed for a QC deed.
