How do you market directly to escrow and/or title companies?

Do you just email them and let them know that you provide the service in the area?

Brenda, as always you are much nicer than I am. I'd sell that info to someone but not give it to them. Anyone who has been in this business any length of time should be able to come up with the answer/s on their own with VERY little thought - if they can't well then ...

Re: Carmi, there is a way to know EXACTLY the title companies

sue, you're right,.

However, the fact remains that 95% of notaries I give this information to will never leave the keyboard of their computer and consider this task too much trouble. You wouldn't believe how many say that's too much trouble, or just never find the time to go through the exercise. Only those who deserve a leg up will pursue it. If they will they are the ones who I want to associate with. The rest of them just want to have the info handed to them. There's a difference.

As far as who should be able to come up with the answers, when I give them the answer, people in this business (highly educated/trained people outside of notaries) who just don't make the obvious connection. People get so focused they miss the obvious. I have had a former business which makes me aware.

Out of the five percent of people who will take the step, only five percent of those will use it to take the next step and find it's marketing potential.

On occasion, just like you came to my side...because you are also nice no matter what you say... and helped me back in the day, I see someone who is well-spoken, has no sense of entitlement and who I want to point in the right direction. VERY few of them ever take the steps. Most of them think it's too time consuming, too hard and won't go to the trouble if they can't punch it up on their computer.
