FYI, heltp is on the way, Rep. John Dingell (D-Mi) is

introducing a new bill in Congress today that will eliminate the mortgage interest deduction on homes of 3000 sq ft of living space or more. I am glad that Rep Dingell is interested in helping out the real estate slump by some genuinely meaningful legilation. By the way homes over 3000 sq ft are currently a major growth area according to the National Association of Home Builders; that should slow things down a bit!

you can bet that if this thing starts to....

get feet, NAR [national asscn Realtors] will be all over it........when ever the talk about rescinding the mortgage interest deduction pops up the hair on the back of the Realtors neck stands straight out and they will spend millions [yes millions] to quash it.......
