Has anyone been doing closings for Countrywide recently?

I use to average about 10 Countrywide closings per week and they have come to a complete halt. The last loan I closed for them was well over a month ago. Countrywide was my bread & butter; I am hoping things pick up.

Chase closings have also come to a stand still as well. I used to get so many appointments between Chase & Countrywide through FASS.

I had 2 closings from CW in the last week but other than that no, and for FASS I did 2 in the last 2 days but they were AMRO, have one tomorrow but not CW. Next week will be a good indication for me at least if I need to go on to something else. The 15th is next saturday, should be interesting.

One yesterday and one last week, but I agree they used to be the bulk of my business.

Had two Chase loans in the last week.

Did one last night and also had a Chase last night. I was very happy to have 2 so early in the month.

FASS doesn't pay well enough for anyone to worry about it.

I believe FASS lost the Countrywide account in January, 2006. That is a good thing.

Re: First American Signature Services

I think they have been for some time. Probably depends on which division and which location.

Re: I think it's a regional thing

Because I'd say 75-80% of my signings lately have been CW and not through NREIS or FASS.

yes, and was recently contacted by NRES. Although they (CW) have slowed up quite a bit lately.

One of the reasons I heard Fass lost the account was poor signing agents, not the entire reason, but part of the reason. They refused to pay more than $50 during the heyday of refinancing. FASS attempted to change that by holding on-line training seminars.

I have done about 5 in the past 10 days. I think that it depends on who the title company is who has the accounts. They have cut down on business but still doing some.

Re: Yes, but docs have been rushed

last night, had late docs & TIL was wrong! That was a first in 4 years to have the TIL, itemization of amt financed be wrong.

Also had one Wed night, docs late for that one also. CW usually has their act together, but I think they're pushing things along more quickly to get the business flowing for them. Especially since Sept would close 3rd qtr (provided a calendar based fiscal-year).
